Brazing Alloys

Our engineers can work with your drawings to create bespoke solutions in precious and non-precious braze alloys, low vapour pressure alloys and also melt spun foil. Brazing alloys are available in a range of dimensions in disc, sheet, ring, powder and paste forms.

Active Brazing Alloys

Active brazing alloys promote wetting on the ceramic surface and subsequently remove the need for pre-brazing ceramic metallisation. The active brazing alloys can also be used within one step brazing processes and can be used in the creation of hermetic seals. Available as foil, wire, paste and preforms.

Turnkey Assembly and Brazing Service

MTC Wesgo Metals, the origin of active metal brazing, now offers turnkey brazing services. Stopyt^®

Stopyt® is a completely inert braze inhibitor. It is suspended in an organic fluid and is used to prevent the uncontrolled flow of molten brazing alloys during the brazing process. Stopyt® is available in two types and can be applied by spraying, dipping and brushing.

Pre-Sintered Preform Products (PSP™)

Blending super alloys and braze powders, MTC Wesgo offer an array of pre-sintered preforms. Preform products are available as plates and can also be produced to custom shapes for your specific applications. Pre-sintered preforms are used widely within the aerospace industry for applications such as repairing cracks in jet engines.
